This multi-faceted project involved the removal and replacement of roofing systems in four different areas of the building: the shingle roof above the mechanical room, the shingle roof above the atrium entrance canopy, the main and upper EPDM membrane roof sections, and the EPDM membrane roof inside the mechanical room. The project also included installing new vinyl siding and aluminum fascia around the mechanical room.The shingle roof systems on the mechanical room and atrium entrance canopy were removed and replaced with watertight underlayment and GAF architectural asphalt shingles. On the main and upper roofs the existing system was removed and replaced with new insulation and fully adhered 60 mil black EPDM complete with flashings, details, terminations, new drains and walk-pads. The existing EPDM membrane in the mechanical room was removed and replaced with fully adhered 90 mil black EPDM complete with flashings, details, terminations, new drains and walk-pads. The existing EPDM system on the atrium entrance canopy was removed and replaced with fully adhered 60 mil black EPDM complete with flashings, details, terminations, and drains. The atrium entrance canopy also received custom shop fabricated 24-gauge Kynar finish gravel stop edge metal.
