Winter Roof Inspection: EPDM Systems

We highly recommend implementing a roof preventative maintenance plan.  This typically includes regular inspections, scheduled maintenance, and repairs as needed to ensure that your roof is in good condition year-round.  This can help identify potential issues before they become major problems, and help extend the life of your roof by addressing them in a timely manner.

During our winter EPDM roof inspections, we check for any signs of wear or damage, including cracks, tears, or punctures in the membrane.  We will also check for any signs of deterioration or UV damage, as well as any issues with the flashings or seals around penetrations.  We will also check and clean the drainage system, including scuppers, gutters and downspouts, to ensure that they are clear of debris and functioning properly to prevent water ponding on the roof.  Any standing water can cause damage to the membrane and cause leaks which will cause internal damages to the building.

If you have any concerns about the condition of your EPDM roof or are interested in scheduling a winter inspection or discuss our preventative maintenance plans, to not hesitate to contact us.

Stay safe and warm this winter by keeping your EPDM roof in top condition!
