This Roanoke, Virginia Tropical Smoothie Cafe roofing project with this general contractor is a shining example of excellence in commercial roofing, aimed at providing a reliable and energy-efficient roofing system for this new establishment. This comprehensive project involved a range of essential tasks, beginning with the meticulous installation of two layers of 20 PSI 2.6-inch polyiso insulation on the structurally sloped wood deck, exceeding the minimum R-30 requirement. To optimize water runoff, ½-inch per foot insulation crickets were thoughtfully positioned between the scuppers.

The new construction project continued with the careful application of a white 60 mil TPO membrane, fully adhering to the insulation substrate. All details, flashings, and terminations adhered strictly to the manufacturer's specifications, ensuring a seamless and waterproof roofing system designed to withstand the test of time. Architectural aesthetics and weather protection were considered, with the installation of 24-gauge, Kynar finish, shop-fabricated coping caps on the parapet walls.

Efficient drainage was assured through the integration of three TPO coated metal scuppers, complemented by two leader heads and 3" x 4" corrugated aluminum downspouts leading to grade, preventing water-related issues. Additionally, approximately 65 feet of TPO walkway pads were carefully installed to provide secure access for maintenance personnel while preserving the roofing system's integrity, emphasizing safety and durability.
