We were brought in to tackle this comprehensive roof restoration project at the Sentara RMH Wellness Center utilizing a liquid applied membrane system.  On the flat roof sections we prepped the roof area by performing a wet/dry vacuum to remove granules and debris. We then performed a thorough cleaning, applied bleed resistant primer and  self-leveling fill coat. As a final step we top coated with a high-solids white moisture cured silicone ensuring a seamless weather-resistant barrier. We also prioritized safeguarding vulnerable areas by coating edge metals, flashings, and penetrations with a flashing grade silicone. For the metal roof sections, we began by meticulously cleaning the surfaces with cleaner to remove unwanted substances.  Then, we applied a self-leveling sealer to ensure a watertight seal on all horizontal seams and end laps. Finally, we applied a tinted acrylic elastomeric coating for comprehensive protection. Some additional details included adding 6 one-way roof vents to assist with condensation issues above the pool area, silicone walkway pads providing safe access between the existing roof hatch and mechanical units, and painting the existing screen wall structures to match the tinted acrylic elastomeric coating.
