Sentara Martha Jefferson Hospital

Charlottesville, VA | 26,000 SF |  General Contractor: Skyline Roofing, Inc.

Skyline Roofing proudly presents our recent project spotlight at Sentara Martha Jefferson Hospital in Charlottesville, VA, where we executed an extensive scope of work across multiple roof sections. From A, C, F, G, and I to B, J, K, E, D, and H, each segment underwent meticulous attention to detail and precision. Our process began with the removal of existing stone ballast and EPDM membrane, followed by thorough tear-offs down to the concrete deck. We then meticulously installed layers of insulation, including a base layer of 25PSI 2” poly iso insulation and tapered packages with crickets to ensure optimal drainage. The application of fully adhered 50 mil FiberTite XT membrane, along with the installation of new retrofit drains and overflow drains, was completed to exact manufacturer specifications, guaranteeing durability and longevity.

Additionally, in Roof Section B, we went beyond the standard installation by fitting .040 aluminum, Kynar finish, shop fabricated coping cap edge metal along the lower section for enhanced protection. Our commitment to quality extended to Sections E, D, and H, where we not only addressed roofing needs but also undertook the removal of abandoned mechanical structures and coordinated with the hospital for safe disposal. Throughout the project, we prioritized adherence to FM Global requirements under specific assemblies, ensuring compliance and peace of mind for our client.

At Skyline Roofing, we understand the critical importance of reliable roofing for healthcare facilities like Sentara Martha Jefferson Hospital.
