Single Ply Membrane Roofing
Single-ply roof systems provide owners with an economical roofing solution with warranties up to 30 years. Skyline Roofing is a licensed Firestone and Versico applicator.
EPDM (ethylene propylene diene monomer) is the most popular material for both new and re-roof low-slope roofing applications due to its durability, design versatility and ease of installation. The versatile membrane offers a variety of installation options including fully adhered, ballasted, or mechanically attached which deliver superior long-term weatherability and exhibit exceptional wind uplift resistance.
Waterproofing is the primary function of a roofing membrane like EPDM. Recently, however, green building practices have shown EPDM to be one of the most sustainable roofing membrane solutions because it is considered to have the longest average service life in the roofing industry. EPDM has been used for over half a century and long term field applications have proven its sustainability. EPDM single-ply roofing membrane is the only roofing material that offers solutions for all climates without the need for additional coatings or modifications.
Thermoplastic polyolefin (TPO) single-ply roofing membranes are among the fastest growing commercial roofing products and have gained broad industry acceptance for their many performance and installation advantages. As demand increases for heat-reflective and energy efficient roofing systems, TPO single-ply roofing membranes continue to provide exceptional resistance to ultraviolet, ozone and chemical exposure.
Roofs with TPO membranes installed are considered “Cool Roofs” because they reflect and emit the sun’s heat back to the sky instead of transferring it to the building below. By installing TPO you can gain noticeable energy savings as well as mitigate environmental consequences such as smog.
The PVC membrane that Skyline Roofing deploys is composed of PVC film laminated to both sides of a reinforcement fabric (scrim). The PVC membrane is an excellent choice for projects requiring a long lasting, energy efficient roofing membrane. The PVC Film is a thermoplastic PVC formulation of resins, plasticizers, stabilizers, biocides, flame retardants, and U.V. absorbents.
PVC can be mechanically fastened, inductively welded, or adhered to properly prepared roof decks, walls, cover boards, and insulations. PVC also has a low installed cost and a white reflective color helping to save energy.
Tailor your business look with an aesthetic color, all while utilizing a material that is known for its longevity & durability, fire resistance, recyclability, and energy savings. Unlike many other materials, Metal reflects the sun’s rays to ensure that cooling costs are reduced significantly.
Commercial Roof Pavers
Roof pavers can provide additional thermal and mechanical protection to a roof membrane while creating more useable space above hotels, office buildings, and apartment buildings. Roof pavers protect the underlying membrane and provides an added layer of protection to your roof.
